Refurbished Apple iPad Pro - Hidden iPad Secrets That Will Turn You Into a Pro - Great Price from buyEtail.com

Have you ever wondered if there was a quick way to do this or a better way to do that on the iPad?  Each year, Apple releases a new version of the iOS operating system that runs the iPad.  And with each new version, features are introduced that can increase productivity by helping you do certain tasks faster and more efficiently.  There's only one problem: not everyone knows about them.   Over the next few pages, we'll take a look at some of these secret features.

The First Secret Feature: Tap the Title Bar and Skip the Apostrophe
We'll start with two secret tips that will really help speed up your ability to manipulate your iPad.  Have you ever scrolled down a long list or been at the bottom of a large web page and needed to get back to the top?  No need to scroll.  You can tap the title bar of the app or web page to return to the beginning.  This works with most apps and most web pages, though not every web page is designed to be iPad-friendly.
Skipping the apostrophe is also a great time-saver and ranks as my number one keyboard tip.  The auto-correct feature on the iPad can sometimes be quite annoying, but at times, it can also really work for you.  For example, there's no need to hunt down the apostrophe for most contractions.  Auto Correct will automatically change "cant" to "can't" and "wont" to "won't". There are some exceptions.  It won't know the difference between "well" and "we'll", but it works quite well in most instances.

iPad Secret #2: Quickly Control Your Music on the iPad

Whether you are listening to a song from your own music collection or jamming to a custom radio station on Pandora, there's no need to go into a specific app just to pause the music or skip a song.  The iPad has a hidden control panel that can do everything from turn Bluetooth on and off to locking the rotation.  And for music lovers, there's a handy set of controls for playback.
You can access the hidden control panel by sliding your finger up from the very bottom of the screen.   The key is to start with your fingertip on the edge of the screen and then move it toward the top.  As you slide your finger, the hidden controls will be revealed.
The music controls will work with whatever app is actively producing the music.  So, if you are listening to iTunes Radio, the buttons will control your radio station, and if you are listening to a playlist, they'll control that playlist.

In addition to music, you can access the AirDrop feature, turn the brightness up or down, go into Airplane mode, lock the rotation, launch the timer and even open the camera.
Of course, if all you need to do is adjust the volume, don't forget the buttons on the side of the iPad!

Refurbished Apple iPad Pro - Why I ditched the iPad Pro 12.9 for the iPad Pro 9.7 - Great Price from buyEtail.com

ipad pro 97
credit: Swapnil Bhartiya

Flashback.

I grabbed an iPad Pro 12.9 the day it hit stores. I was super excited about the device because I am a heavy tablet user; I have been using a tablet since the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 days. As a Linux user, I resisted iOS and Mac OS till 2013. I gave in because none of the other tablets were good enough for me. In 2014, I bought my first iOS device. I started off with the iPad Mini 3, and moved to the iPad AIR and then graduated to the iPad Pro.

Why I didn’t like the 12.9 iPad Pro
As much as I wanted to like the iPad Pro 12.9, I couldn’t. The screen was amazing for watching videos. But that was it. I don’t use iOS, I use apps and a majority of apps were not optimized for that screen size. So you get this abysmal experience on a $1,100 device.

ipad pro comp

iPad Pro 12.9 was way too big and heavy to be held in your hands for an extended period of time for things like reading ebooks or watching movies. Actually, it’s not at all portable. I had  to shove it in the same compartment where I keep my laptop when travelling. Literally I was carrying ‘two’ laptops.

That was not the end, there was no decent keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9 that would let me at least write my stories. Logi Create was a good keyboard but it was way too clumsy and heavy and it made my iPad as bulky and heavy as my MacBook. I looked at alternatives and bought the super expensive Apple Smart Keyboard. But it was not at all that smart. It’s actually a dumb keyboard, compared to what Google offers with Pixel C. Apple’s Smart Keyboard needs physical ports for connectivity and charging. And then you have to put it on the slit for it to work otherwise even if it is physically connected to the iPad Pro, you can’t type. Then you can’t change the angle and it’s flimsy so you can’t use it on your lap.

That’s not smart.
I tried to use the $1,400 device as a laptop. But despite Tim Cook’s claims, iPad Pro was not a laptop replacement. It seems to me that the only people who would find the iPad Pro 12.9 useful are graphic artists. With Pencil it’s a great tool for an artist, but there are limitations. Unlike Microsoft Surface Pro, iPad Pro doesn’t have access to full-fledged apps like Photoshop or Lightroom. As a result iPad Pro 12.9, despite great hardware, turned out to be a mediocre device due to software.

When I looked the 12.9 iPad Pro, I failed to see the target audience. As a writer, who needs a good keyboard and true multitasking for research, it failed me. At a $1,100 price point it’s a much too expensive ebook reader and movie player.

Bottom line it can’t offer a desktop grade experience so it’s not suitable for the average PC user. This iPad is simply a very good secondary, media consumption device with portability and price as its strengths. However, for the iPad Pro 12.9 those were weaknesses.

Bottom of Form
I believe iPad Pro 12.9 would have been a game changer if it ran Mac OS X. It would have destroyed the Surface Pro market.

The best things come in small packages
The day Apple announced the 9.7 iPad Pro, I knew that was the one I wanted. From the beginning I was not confident about such a huge device, I had purchased the iPad under T-Mobile’s Jump on Demand program so that I could upgrade to the next version. I called them up and after some trouble I was able to pre-order the iPad Pro 9.7.

I initially felt disappointment at first sight. My heart sank to see how small it was compared to the 12.9 version. I almost regretted my decision, the iPad Pro 12.9 offered an immersive movie experience, but everything was smaller on the iPad Pro 9.7.

Portability
After using it for a week though I realized the benefits of the 9.7. Finally, I was able to carry my tablet with me. Due to its size and lack of good keyboard, the 12.9 never left my desk. Never. I never brought it to meetings due to lack of true multitasking and good keyboard. I would rather bring the MacBook that’s as big and heavy as the iPad Pro 12.9.

However, you will find the iPad Pro 9.7 with me all the time. I carry it everywhere. Despite my disliking the smart keyboard, I bought one for the 9.7.

I love the iPad Pro 9.7 even more because it has even better hardware than the 12.9.

More for less
iPad Pro 9.7 has everything that the 12.9 has. It’s powered by the 64-bit A9X processor with M9 co-processor. It’s not as overclocked at the bigger iPad, but since it has to drive a smaller screen that doesn’t affect performance.

The 9.7 has less resolution at 2048x1536 compared to 2732x2048 of the 12.9. Don’t worry, it’s apt resolution given the smaller screen size. What matters is that both displays have the same ppi.
The iPad Pro 9.7 comes with some newer technologies such as True Tone that’s not found on the original iPad Pro. The 9.7 has a better main camera and it can record 4k video.

I get the same battery life on the 9.7 as I got on the 12.9. Yes, the 9.7 has a smaller battery, but it has a smaller screen to power so you get the same battery life from smaller battery.

The four speaker setup on the iPad Pro has changed everything. Whether you are playing music or watching movies, the speakers are super impressive and they have incredible base. I have even used it for small home parties.

And the icing on the cake is support for Pencil so I am able to use pencil with iPad Pro 9.7 for casual drawing!

Soft corner for 9.7 screen
One of the biggest gripes I had with the iPad Pro 12.9 was unoptimized apps. But since 9.7 is a popular size, a majority of apps are optimized for it. I get the same experience that I got on the iPad AIR before upgrading to the iPad Pro.
I loved it.

The split screen is great for working between two files. However, you can’t have split screens of the same app. So I can’t read a press release on MS Word, in one screen and compose a news item on the second screen. But now I can use Siri on the iPad Pro without having to plug it to the power source.
Is the iPad Pro 9.7 right for you?

It depends on what are you going to use it for. And don’t listen to Tim Cook; iPad is not a laptop replacement, thanks to numerous limitations of iOS. I can’t connect a mouse for better navigation. I can’t get full access to the file system as I do on a Mac so that I can save files wherever I want. I can’t plug in USB devices for data transfer. I don’t get the same level of multitasking that I get on a MacBook. I don’t get full fledge version of apps like Photoshop.

Why would I accept all these limitations for a 128GB $1,028 iPad Pro with the keyboard. You can get a full fledged MacBook for that money.

If you are not looking to use Pencil. If you want an ultra portable iOS device that you can use to watch movies, read eBooks, do basic work and communicate with friends, then I think iPad AIR with 64GB of storage is a much better deal for $500 than the iPad Pro.

Conclusion
Being a tech enthusiast I love technology, I love new gadgets. I am keeping the iPad Pro 9.7. I know it’s way too much money for what an iPad can do, but I will keep it. This is the best tablet that I have ever used, and that’s coming from someone who also owns the Pixel C and Chromebook Flip.

Refurbished Apple iPad Pro - Five awesome iPad Pro apps, no Apple Pencil required [Video] - Great Price from buyEtail.com

I don’t use as many apps on my 12.9″ iPad Pro as I do on my iPhone, but the ones that I do use I’ve grown to love. And while I appreciate what the Apple Pencil can do, I’m not an artist, and prefer typing over handwriting. With that said, I tend to use my iPad Pro in the more traditional way.
The great thing about the iPad Pro is that it’s a flexible device that can adapt to a variety of workflows. Here’s a look at five of my favorite apps for Apple’s extra large tablet.

In its App Store description, Ulysses is described as a desktop-class writing app, and I’d have to agree. In fact, the desktop version of Ulysses has been a Mac app staple of mine for several years now.
Ulysses branched out beyond its Mac roots when it landed on the iPad, and a more recent update brought iPhone compatibility to the fore. With its iCloud sync support, users can easily start a project on one device, and pick right up on another device.
But it’s the support for the iPad Pro that really has me in love with Ulysses. My MacBook Pro rarely leaves my office, as it functions as more of a desktop computer. Instead, it’s my iPad Pro that I’m mobile with around the house and when out and about. It’s the iPad Pro that takes on the brunt of my inspiration as I write down my ideas and compose them into complete articles.
As you would expect, Ulysses supports the full gamut of iPad Pro features like Split View and Slide Over, and it’s been designed to take advantage of the generous amount of real estate afforded by such a large screen.

iPad Pro Ulysses

For those of you that enjoy writing using Markdown, full Markdown support is here, along with a ton of advanced features geared towards optimizing your writing workflow. Have a look at the app’s description on the App Store, and you’ll see what I mean.
Yes, at $24.99, Ulysses is “expensive” for an App Store app, but it’s the epitome of quality software. Not only do you get the iPad version with your purchase, but it’s a universal app that works on all compatible iOS devices.
VIDEO WALKTHROUGH

While it’s true that I prefer to use the official Twitter app at times due to some of the inherent advantages that it has over third-party apps, Tweetbot 4 is the best Twitter experience to be had on the iPad Pro.
The thing I most love about Tweetbot 4 is how flexible it is when used with Slide Over and Split View. The app’s view intelligently switches to one most optimized for the amount of space available on-screen. Its Activity panel, for instance, can be swapped out for stats, mentions, likes, or for displaying a list.

Tweetbot 4 ipad pro

I particularly enjoy relegating Tweetbot 4 to the right-third of my iPad Pro’s screen, and using its timeline streaming feature to keep up to date with all of the latest news from my feed.
Tweetbot 4 is available on the App Store for $9.99. A cheaper alternative to Tweetbot 4 is Twitterific 5, which is free with in-app purchases. I much prefer the design language of Tweetbot 4, but if you’re looking to save some cash, Twitterific 5 is an option to consider.
Staying organized in this day and age tends to be challenging, but 2Do helps me to keep projects, ideas and goals in their proper place and order. 2Do can be used in a variety of ways, but I use it with a sort of hybrid GTD strategy.
One of my requirements for an app like this is that iPhone and Mac counterparts must exist as well, and that’s true for 2Do. While I enjoy using 2Do with other iOS devices, the iPad Pro is where I do the majority of my capturing, processing and reviewing.

2do ipad pro

Like Tweetbot 4, 2Do is a master of providing flexible views based on how much space the app has on-screen. 2Do fully supports Slide Over and Split View, which makes it great for being able to quickly capture ideas and tasks that I need to process in the future.
2Do is available for $14.99 on the App Store, and it’s a universal app that also works with the iPhone.

Apple’s music-making app doesn’t support any of the iPad Pro’s fancy features like Slide Over or Split View, but the added real estate of the iPad Pro makes it one of the most compelling apps for the device. Apple’s implementation of Live Loops has turned the app into a bonafide music composition platform that both novices and pros can use and enjoy.

iPad Pro GarageBand

GarageBand works on smaller devices like the iPhone or iPad mini, but the iPad Pro is the best way to use the app. Having more space, means you have access to more instruments without scrolling, allowing you to compose full songs effortlessly.
GarageBand is $4.99 on the App Store, but it comes free with any new iDevice purchase.

I plan on doing a full walkthrough of Ferrite in the future, but for now, let me just briefly touch on why I find it so useful when running on my iPad Pro. Ferrite is marketed as a general recording studio app, but it features many podcast-centric tools. It’s totally possible to record, mix and edit a full podcast on an iOS device using Ferrite, and I’ve personally used the app to fulfill an end-to-end podcasting workflow.
That said, I use Ferrite for a variety of applications. I use it for podcasting, but I also like to use it for recording reference tracks and voiceovers.

iPad Pro Ferritte

As a universal app, Ferrite works on smaller screen devices like the iPhone, but it’s so much easier to perform edits on the larger screen that the iPad Pro provides. Ferrite works with both Slide Over and Split View, meaning that it’s easy to view a web browser or show notes to follow along with as you podcast.
I like to pair Ferrite with my Lightning-enabled Shure MV5 microphone for an instant on-the-go podcasting machine. Ferrite Recording Studio can be had free of charge on the App Store, and features in-app purchases to unlock noteworthy features like FX and automation.
Just the start…

Of course, there are quite a few other iPad Pro apps that I find myself using on a regular basis, and I’ll be sure to share more of those apps in a future post. In the meantime, what are some of your favorite iPad Pro apps? Share your thoughts down in the comments.

Refurbished Apple iPad Pro - Apps To Download For Your New iPad Pro - Great Price from buyEtail.com

http://www.crn.com/ckfinder/userfiles/images/crn/slideshows/2015/apple-ipad-pro-vs-microsoft-surface-pro/slide-2.jpg

If you received Apple's newly released tablet, the iPad Pro, as a holiday gift, you'll surely want to take advantage of its greatest assets: a big, 12.9-inch screen and a powerful, third-generation A9X chip that together make it perfect for playing games, watching videos and designing graphic art.
Plus, Apple's tablet is compatible with a separately sold $99 Apple Pencil and $169 foldable keyboard, making it even easier to play around with apps.

To maximize the tablet's everyday functionality, finding the right apps is essential. From video streaming platforms like HBO Now to eBook reader tools like Kindle, there are lots of apps that fit hand in hand with the iPad Pro's giant screen. Here are 10 apps to download for your new iPad Pro.

HBO Now
The iPad Pro's crystal-clear resolution makes it a good platform for watching action-packed shows and movies. So HBO's standalone streaming service app, HBO Now, is the perfect match for watching popular shows like "Game of Thrones" and "True Detective."
HBO Now has more than 2,000 TV episode titles, as well as movies, documentaries and other series. An introductory 30-day free trial of HBO Now is available for a limited time in the App Store. The app subscription costs $14.99 after the free trial ends.

Orderly
Orderly is a great app for iPad users in the retail and restaurant segment. This app is a simple, intuitive software platform that automates the purchasing process and facilitates how transactions are made.
Through Orderly, users can capture, manage and share invoices, monitor food spending and supplier pricing, and place shelf-to-sheet orders from your tablet with any existing supplier. Finally, Orderly allows users to take inventory counts without spreadsheets, paperwork or data entry. This app is free, but users can upgrade to a version with more features for $55 a month.

eFax
Productivity app eFax has the potential to transform your iPad Pro into a mobile fax machine. Whether you are on the road, at home or in the office, the eFax app allows you to send a fax quickly and easily from the iPad.
Through this app, users can sign their faxes, take photos with the iPad's camera and fax them, and add notes to faxes. The app, which is free, also lets users prepare electronic signatures and print faxes using AirPrint.

Refurbished Apple iPad Pro - How-To: Unlock iPad Pro’s full potential w/ iOS 9 features, third-party apps, much more - Great Price from buyEtail.com

If you haven’t mastered iOS 9 and all its new tricks introduced, then it’s easy to find yourself using the iPad Pro as just a jumbo iPad Air or iPad mini. But new multitasking features like Picture in Picture, Split View, and Slide Over transform the iPad Pro experience and shine on the larger display if you know how to use them and which apps work. And while the iPad Pro doesn’t have 3D Touch like new iPhones, there’s a similar keyboard cursor gesture to now about. All that plus much more on unlocking the full potential of the iPad Pro below:

Before we dive in, many of these tips will apply to all iPads with iOS 9 while other features are limited to iPad mini 4 (7.9″), iPad Air 2 (9.7″), and iPad Pro (12.9″). If you’re comfortable with the bigger display of the Pro, however, it is able to present the most amount of content at once when multitasking.
Newly available in iOS 9, iPads support three multitasking features: Split View, Slide Over, and Picture in Picture. Not all features are available on all iPads however, and each works best on iPad Pro unless the display size is a deal breaker for you.

None of the new multitasking features are obvious, but Picture in Picture is the easiest to stumble upon. Play a video in a supported app, then press the Home button to leave the app and your video shrinks into a mini player and doesn’t stop. There’s also a new “two boxes and an arrow” icon on video players that support PIP. Tap it to continue watching your video within that app, or leave the app and take your video with you.

The Picture in Picture window follows you from app to app until you disable it, only going out of focus when you double click the Home button or swipe up with four fingers to switch apps. You can move the PIP around the iPad’s display, although it’s limited to the four corners for now. Activating the on-screen keyboard will push the PIP up so you can type, and you can even tuck the PIP out of view temporarily by pushing it off screen.

Tap the PIP at any point to view playback progress along the bottom, switch back to full screen, play/pause the video, or close it. You can also pinch to shrink or expand the size of the PIP, and the iPad Pro supports the largest version of any iPads.

Picture in Picture works on iPad Pro, iPad Air or later, and iPad mini 2 or later. The only hitch here is that video apps have to opt-in to support it. Built-in apps like Safari, Videos for iTunes movies and TV shows, FaceTime, and Podcasts just work, but your own videos in Photos and music videos from Apple Music won’t. Third-party apps like HBO NOW and Hulu are my favorites to use for Picture in Picture. Netflix and YouTube haven’t added support yet, but YouPlayer and Go Picture in Picture enable YouTube PIP on iPads with different approaches.

Refurbished Microsoft Xbox One - Calibrate Your Kinect’s Microphone Properly - Great Price from buyEtail.com

Microsoft

Whisper it, but the Kinect actually isn’t all that bad – providing you set the thing up properly anyway.
There’s a myriad of things that can get in the way of the machine knowing you’re giving a soldier an order in Ryse versus say, loading Volgarr the Viking, but to ensure that never happens it’s best to calibrate the Kinect effectively with this neat tip.

Simply urn your TV’s speakers as far up as they’ll go during the detection step of the Kinect process, as it’ll then note they’re too loud.

Of course you then turn them back down gradually so the system recognizes this louder environment as its baseline listening level – making the microphone far more sensitive to your commands in the future. Hopefully this will get you around the many instances of having to repeat yourself multiple times for commands to register to work.

The Bluetooth connection lets you enjoy your music wirelessly for up to 12 hours or up to 20 hours when plugged into your audio device
The Beats Acoustic Engine(TM) makes your listening experience personal and real. Beats' signature DSP software is designed to generate the emotional experience that some of the music industry's greatest rock, hip-hop, pop, electronic, and R&B producers want you to feel.
