America's
Pride, the first piece in my new 'Flags Over America' collection, features
the same dramatic sky and waving flag seen in my previous painting, while below
I pay tribute to the most patriotic of all American cities - our nation's
capitol. In my painting, I have depicted the Washington, D.C. skyline with
lights glittering as evening approaches.
"The Capitol Building is illuminated, as is the Washington Monument, while cherry blossoms catch the last rays of sunlight in the foreground. I hope to pay tribute to other cities in the future (including Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle) but there is no doubt that for all citizens of the United States, our nation's capitol truly is America's Pride.
