Thomas Kinkade's Rock of Salvation - 2001 - buy through buyEtail.com

kinkade rock of salvation

Rock of Salvation - 2001

I was struck, recently, by the gospel music phrase the rock of salvation and suddenly felt myself challenged to present the phrase in one of my prints. Rock of Salvation will be the last creation in my Seaside Memories series. Though watching the sun set over this seven-year series of work is nostalgic and slightly bittersweet, I look forward to the sunrise of a new coastal series in the future.

Stairway to Paradise - 1998

There are earthly places, living moments that speak to the deepest part of my imagination. They offer a glimpse of paradise on earth. In Stairway to Paradise, a classic stone stairway embraced by climbing roses and shaded by lavish flowering plum and dogwood trees, is such an emblem of the eternal.

kinkade seaside hideaway

Seaside Hideaway - 2003

"Seaside Hideaway" evokes the mood of rapture Nanette and I feel when we are alone together. The cottage hideaway is enveloped in flowers and graced by climbing roses-the lavish palette of sunset paints the cottage as well. Warm lights gleam through the myriad windows; we can imagine the cozy, congenial scene within.

A Peaceful Retreat - 2002

A Peaceful Retreat - 2002

Like you, I spend my time in a world more complex than the one I imagined in "A Peaceful Retreat." But it is good, sometimes, to retreat, at least in our imagination, to a quiet place, where one can refresh and restore the soul. In that spirit, I invite you to share with me the tranquil pleasures of this, "A Peaceful Retreat."

Thomas Kinkade's Village Christmas - buy at buyEtail.com

Village Christmas - 1997

Village Christmas - 1997

In "Village Christmas," I have tried to capture a Christmas of a simpler time, where street lamps glow with the warm light of a natural flame and the townsfolk use a leisurely stroll to church as the opportunity to stop and chat about the joyous season.

Thomas Kindade's Spirit of the Wind - buy at buyEtail.com

The Wind of the Spirit - 1998

The wind, too, has its work to do. The windmill harnesses the freedom of the wind-a biblical symbol for the unfettered spirit-to the ponderous purpose of the millstone. Fleecy clouds and delicate V's of geese trace the comings and goings of the wind.

Thomas Kinkade Cobblestone Village - You can buy at buyEtail.com

Thomas Kinkades "Cobblestone Village" Gold Framed Canvas Painting 25.5 X 34

Thomas Kinkade Library Edition:
This is an authentic fine art reproduction from the original painting by Thomas Kinkade, Americas most collected artist. Printed with archival inks, and matched in color and brushstrokes to ensure the quality and accuracy of the reproduction, this textured lithograph from the Library of Thomas Kinkade replicates the original painting in exacting detail.  It is the “closest thing to an original” - and gives the impression that you are viewing the original painting, with all its detailed brushwork and ornate beauty.

"Weve lived here, Nanette and I. Not in this precise village, Ill grant you, but in many like it, during our long and lovely stay in the English Cotswolds. Cobblestone Village conveys the qualitative difference between life in an English village and an American small town. The pace of life in Cobblestone Village seems a century removed from what we typically find in our fast-paced culture. English country life is slow, rich, satisfying. Activity centers on the village to an extraordinary degree.
People come daily for the bakery, dairy, green grocery, butcher shop... as well as the warm conversation and fellowship that truly sustain life. The gathered town folk in Cobblestone Village are as natural, as informal as the overgrown hedges of flowers that line the lane."

Thomas Kinkard's America's Pride - You can buy at buyEtail.com

America's Pride, the first piece in my new 'Flags Over America' collection, features the same dramatic sky and waving flag seen in my previous painting, while below I pay tribute to the most patriotic of all American cities - our nation's capitol. In my painting, I have depicted the Washington, D.C. skyline with lights glittering as evening approaches.

"The Capitol Building is illuminated, as is the Washington Monument, while cherry blossoms catch the last rays of sunlight in the foreground. I hope to pay tribute to other cities in the future (including Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle) but there is no doubt that for all citizens of the United States, our nation's capitol truly is America's Pride.

About Thomas Kinkade:
Thomas Kinkade is America's most-collected living artist, a painter-communicator whose tranquil, light-infused paintings bring hope and joy to millions each year. A devoted husband and father of four daughters, Kinkade grew up in the small town of Placerville, CA, where his traditional values were instilled. His devotion to spreading joy and peace through his art is Kinkade's life goal.

City by the Bay - 2003

For me, the romance of San Francisco begins at Fisherman's Wharf. The Golden Gate Bridge stands as a welcoming sentinel, while sunset bathes the fog shrouded air and glistens on the moist pavement. I invite you to lose your heart with me as I celebrate my beloved "City by the Bay."

Thomas Kinkades Aspen Chapel - Available at buyEtail

The Good Shepherd's Cottage, by Thomas Kinkade

The poet reminds us that "only God can make a tree." On a recent hiking excursion to Hope Valley in the Sierra Mountains, I was struck once again by the glory of aspen trees, which bear such graceful witness to His great love. During autumn in the mountains, stands of aspen shimmer in the breeze like liquid gold. I say "liquid" because the delicate leaves rustle and flicker as they dance with the wind just as water does.

A wise minister of my acquaintance coined the word "gracelets" for the small blessings God bestows upon us. When I enjoy the golden dance of the aspen leaves, I know just what he meant.

A grove of aspens high in the mountains would be an idyllic place for worship. I have imagined just such a church in The Aspen Chapel. Built of weathered stone and whitewashed planks, it has offered sanctuary for many seasons.

Ancient stone fences, made from rocks that line the streambed, keep the grazing cattle safe. Bunnies and chipmunks play among the sheltering trees, reminding us that The Aspen Chapelpresides over a peaceable kingdom hidden away amongst the golden forests.

I offer you the fond hope that in in the enjoyment of The Aspen Chapel we can share in the joy of one of God's myriad gracelets.

-Thomas Kinkade

Thomas Kinkade was America's most collected living artist, a painter-communicator whose tranquil, light infused paintings bring hope and joy to millions each year. Each painting Thomas Kinkade created is a quiet messenger in the home, affirming the basic values of family, faith in God, and the luminous beauty of nature. A devoted husband and doting father to their daughters, Kinkade hid the letter "N" in his paintings to pay tribute to his wife, Nanette. The girls names can also be found in many of his paintings.

Carmel, Sunset on Ocean Avenue - 1999

Ten years ago I painted "Carmel, Oean Avenue on a Rainy Afternoon," and from the day I finished it, I dreamed of working on a second view of the famous scene. "Carmel, Sunset on Ocean Avenue" is that long awaited painting! A luminous sunset bathes the entire scene in a warm glow, as though a tranquil moment has been frozen in time.

Thomas Kinkade Painting Boulevard Lights - Through BuyEtail.com

buyEtail now has Thomas Kinkade's Paintings.

Boulevard Lights, Paris

I'm a great believer in the importance of first impressions. That's one reason why Boulevard Lights, Paris is so dear to me; it's the first print in my new City Impressions collection.
The City of Lights has been a springboard to my imagination even before the first of my many visits there. You see, my mother had a print on her wall - an energetic, dazzlingly lit Paris as seen by a 19th-century street painter - that captivated me as a child. So it seemed natural to launch my first Impressionistic series by honoring the art of such giants as Beraud, Cortes, Galien-LaLoue, with a celebration of the city that has inspired master artists of every era.
I have enjoyed such a bustling vision of light and color in one one of my journeys to Paris - I just couldn't tell you exactly where or when. Because of this, Boulevard Lights, Paris exists for me in that ethereal world between experience and imagination that we call memory. And perhaps that is just as well. Because somewhere in the heart of everyone who daydreams is an imaginary memory of Paris.
